Why is Trans Resveratrol brown and not white?

Modified on Fri, 12 Dec, 2025 at 2:27 PM

We can assure you that brown is the correct and normal colour of our Trans Resveratrol product, so please don’t be concerned if you expected it to be white like some other resveratrol products.

Our Trans Resveratrol capsules are brown rather than white because they use a 50% extract of resveratrol. This means the product contains a 50/50 mix of resveratrol and knotweed root, which is dark brown and gives the capsules their colour. Using a 50% extract makes the product far more bioavailable than a 98% resveratrol extract, which is typically off-white.

Grape skin is also used as an ingredient in this product and is naturally brown, further contributing to the capsule colour.
